SyncUp in India is seeking a skilled SQL/DB Developer to design scalable SQL schemas for CRM and revenue ops modules, and to optimize high-throughput workloads in a fast-scaling SaaS startup.

The role involves building ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing governance, and supporting production DB environments with zero-downtime migrations, while collaborating with data engineers across CRM, marketing, and finance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL Server and PostgreSQL with strong T-SQL/PL-SQL skills.
• Experience tuning complex queries and implementing indexing strategies.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and data governance.
• Ability to support production DB environments with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, normalized SQL schemas for CRM and revenue ops modules.
• Write, tune, and debug complex stored procedures, triggers, and functions for high-throughput workloads.
• Optimize query performance using execution plans and partitioning schemes.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build ETL/ELT pipelines into data warehouses.
• Implement data governance and audit logging to meet internal SLAs and security standards.
• Support production DB environments and perform schema migrations with zero downtime.

About the Opportunity

Our DB developers design, optimize, and maintain high-availability SQL environments that feed analytics dashboards, automated workflows, and AI-driven forecasting engines - all while ensuring data integrity, compliance, and sub-second query performance at scale.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, normalized SQL schemas for core CRM and revenue operations modules.
• Write, tune, and debug complex T-SQL/PL-SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support high-throughput transactional workloads.
• Optimize query performance using execution plans, indexing strategies, and partitioning schemes across large datasets.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build ETL/ELT pipelines that sync CRM, marketing, and finance data into warehouse environments.
• Implement data governance & audit logging policies to ensure compliance with internal SLAs and security standards.
• Support production DB environments - monitor performance, troubleshoot deadlocks, and execute schema migrations with zero downtime.
