Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with query optimization and performance tuning (execution plans).
• Working knowledge of microservices architecture and data integration with service-based systems.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of database security practices and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Design normalized/denormalized schemas based on application requirements.
• Collaborate with microservices teams to define data access patterns (APIs, ORM).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Design normalized/denormalized schemas based on application requirements
• Collaborate with microservices development teams to define data access patterns (APIs, stored procedures, ORM integration)
• Support integration of Oracle databases with microservices architecture (REST APIs, event driven systems, message queues)
• Write and maintain scripts for data migration, ETL processes, and batch jobs
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices
• Perform code reviews and troubleshoot production database issues

Required Skills
