Job summary

Aarvian in Bengaluru is seeking a data scientist to join our analytics team. The role focuses on statistical analysis, ML, predictive modeling and data-driven decision-making.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze large datasets, build models, and translate insights into business actions while working in an Agile environment. This full-time onsite role requires 3-5 years of experience and a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and visualization tools.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2-6 years of hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and data analysis libraries.
• Good understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning algorithms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with data cleaning, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• : Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• • Build and implement machine learning and statistical models for prediction, classification, clustering, and forecasting.
• • Perform Time Series Analysis using techniques such as ARIMA, SARIMA, and forecasting models.
• • Apply statistical techniques including Logistic Regression, Multivariate Regression, Factor Analysis, Predictive Modeling.
• • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data visualization to communicate insights effectively.
• • Develop and optimize ML models using Python and libraries such as Scikit-Learn, NumPy, XGBoost, TensorFlow / PyTorch.
• • Work on NLP use cases: Text Classification, Sentiment Analysis, Semantic Similarity, Named Entity Recognition (NER).
• • Feature engineering, data preprocessing, dimensionality reduction, and model tuning.
• • Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• • Ensure data quality and consistency across data sources.
• • Present findings to stakeholders and drive data-driven decisions.
• • Work in an Agile environment with high standards of quality and delivery.

Role Overview
