Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data testing strategy and test completion plans
• Set up data QA capability, including standards, benchmarks, and KPIs
• Validate on-prem to Azure migration through source-to-target reconciliation
• Automate data test cases using Fabric / Spark notebooks
• Develop reusable frameworks for:
  • Data quality checks
  • Reconciliation & control totals
  • Regression testing
• Write advanced SQL for data validation and anomaly detection
• Evaluate and recommend Azure-native or third-party tools for:
  • Data testing
  • Automation
  • Monitoring & quality checks
• Produce QA reports and support release / post-deployment validation
• Work closely with data engineers and cloud teams in an agile setup

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in data testing / data QA
• Strong hands‑on SQL skills for large datasets
• Experience testing data warehouses / lakehouses
• Hands‑on experience with Azure data platforms, preferably Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with on-prem to cloud data migration testing
• Strong understanding of:
  • Test strategy & planning
  • Test case design
  • Automation & regression testing
  • Use of AI solutions like copilot as accelerators
• Experience automating test cases using notebooks
