Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for data pipelines, transformations, and integrations within Azure.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source and target systems.
• Test data flows in Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
• Monitor and validate performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based data solutions.

Automation & CI/CD Integration

• Develop automated test scripts using Python, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
• Integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Identify and document data issues, working closely with data engineers and developers to resolve them.
• Maintain a defect log and contribute to root‑cause analysis.
• Partner with data analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Document test cases, results, and QA metrics for reporting and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience in data QA or testing roles in a data and analytics space.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data validation techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services: Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, Blob Storage.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, PyTest, dbt tests).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in enterprise reporting environments (e.g., Power BI).
