Job summary

NuSummit Cybersecurity in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Data Protection & Privacy Specialist to monitor compliance with applicable data protection laws and support the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the privacy program.

The role requires hands-on experience in RoPA, DPIAs, DPAs, and vendor contract reviews, with ability to coordinate with CRO, CISO, and DPO while educating stakeholders on privacy controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in data protection governance and privacy programs.
• Ability to work with CRO, CISO, DPO and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data classification, data leakage, encryption, data discovery, consent management, and API security.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, DPDP Act India, etc.).
• Maintain the organization’s data protection governance framework.
• Support in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Data Protection & Privacy Program.
• Maintain and update Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
• Support and review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Review data protection clauses in vendor and partner contracts.
• Support in ensuring Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place.
• Monitor vendor compliance with privacy obligations.
• Conduct privacy awareness and role-based training programs.
• Track and report privacy KPIs and risk metrics.
• Provide regular compliance status reports to management.
• Support internal and external audits related to data protection.
• Support in developing and maintaining privacy policies.
• Familiar with technologies, system & also need to have knowledge about on Data classification, Data leakage ,Key base encryption, Data discovery, consent management, VDI in to IT systems, API etc.
• Work independently & cordinate with CRO,CISO ,DPO & other relevant stakeholders .
• Keep tracking of project, update PPT & published to all the stakeholders on weekly & on demand basis.
