Job Title: Data Privacy Analyst (Legal, Risk and Compliance)

Role Overview:
  • Data Privacy Analyst supports the organization's Legal, Risk & Compliance function in implementing and maintaining privacy, compliance, and governance frameworks. The role is responsible for supporting compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), GDPR requirements, client contractual obligations, and internal policies through effective documentation, privacy governance, rights-management processes, vendor compliance reviews, contract support, audit coordination, and incident-management activities.
  • This role works closely with Legal, HR, IT, Information Security, Procurement, and Business teams to ensure that personal data is processed lawfully, securely, and transparently while supporting broader legal and compliance initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university is mandatory.
  • Additional exposure to Data Privacy, Compliance, Cyber Law, Information Security, or Risk Management will be an advantage.

Experience
  • 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Mandatory in-house experience in Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, Corporate Governance, Risk, or Regulatory Compliance functions.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, privacy notices, policies, SOPs, compliance records, NDAs, DPAs, and privacy-related contractual provisions.
  • Experience supporting privacy compliance, governance initiatives, audits, investigations, vendor reviews, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Exposure to the IT, technology services, consulting, SaaS, or shared-services industry will be preferred.

Skills
  • Strong understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), 2023 and its implementation requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR principles and data protection requirements.
  • Ability to draft and review legal and privacy documentation, policies, contractual clauses, notices, and governance records.
  • Familiarity with DSARs, ROPA, vendor assessments, incident response processes, and privacy compliance frameworks.
  • Strong legal drafting, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Certifications (Good to Have)
  • DCPP (Data Protection Professional India)
  • Any recognized certification, training, or coursework in Privacy, Compliance, Cyber Law, Governance, or Risk Management
