Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited is seeking a Data Ingestion Engineer to own end-to-end data ingestion pipelines from SAP to Snowflake. You will design scalable DataOps practices, build dbt models, and monitor ingestion flows to ensure reliable data for analysts and decision-makers.

The role requires strong SQL, Snowflake experience, and familiarity with SAP SLT/ABAP, CI/CD, and Git workflows. Pune or Bengaluru based, on-site with international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Solid experience in data integration and pipeline development.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake — data loading patterns, performance optimization.
• SQL skills, including writing and tuning complex queries.
• Experience with dbt for data transformation is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with SAP system monitoring and data extraction concepts.
• Programming skills in SAP ABAP — advanced knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Experience with SAP SLT is a plus.
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automation tooling.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• A collaborative mindset and genuine enjoyment of working across teams and disciplines.

Our team runs a data ingestion service that extracts and delivers data from SAP ERP systems into Snowflake, leveraging technologies such as SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) and SNP. As the volume, complexity, and downstream demand for this data grows, so does the need for engineers who can keep the service reliable, scalable, and aligned with modern data engineering standards.

In this role you will be at the heart of that effort — bridging the SAP and Snowflake worlds, building robust pipelines, and helping data consumers across Siemens get the high-quality data they need to make decisions.

We are looking for: Data Ingestion Engineer

You’ll break new ground by:
