Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Data Analytics & Reporting in Pune to join the KPI Team of Building X. You will implement data integrations, analytics, and reporting solutions across multiple data sources, delivering actionable insights for product and business decisions.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, optimize data quality, and develop semantic models in Power BI, with a focus on scalable analytics platforms and modern data practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT/EE/Data Science.
• Strong data analytics, reporting, and software development experience.
• Expertise in SQL and Snowflake.
• Power BI, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
• Experience with analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, or Moesif.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs and data integrations.
• Git-based workflows and CI/CD.
• Understanding instrumentation and product measurement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to teams adopting analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, and Moesif.
• Validate analytics implementations and troubleshoot tracking and data quality issues.
• Integrate and process analytics data via REST APIs.
• Develop complex SQL queries and work with Snowflake.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Translate product measurement requirements into metrics and data models.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.
• Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and consistency in reporting systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enable data‑driven decisions.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Data Analytics & Reporting

This position is part of Siemens Foundational Technologies, driving R&D innovation for the Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Buildings business. You will join the Data Analytics and Reporting team of Building X, Siemens' digital platform that enables building owners and operators to manage building operations through secure, real-time data and actionable insights.

Building X serves as a foundational platform supporting a broad range of building use cases including:

• Energy and Sustainability
• Safety and Security
• Operations and Maintenance
• And many more innovative solutions under development

As part of the KPI Team, you will contribute to the technical implementation of data integrations, product analytics, and reporting solutions. The team integrates data from multiple sources to provide valuable insights into product, business, and team performance while enabling data-driven decision-making through advanced reporting and dashboards.

• Providing technical support to teams adopting analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, and Moesif.

• Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Data Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Bringing strong experience in data analytics, reporting, and software development.
• Demonstrating hands‑on expertise in SQL and Snowflake.
• Possessing strong knowledge of Power BI, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
• Having experience integrating and supporting usage‑tracking and analytics solutions such as Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, Moesif, or similar platforms.
• Being proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript development.
• Having practical experience working with REST APIs and data integrations.
• Understanding analytics instrumentation, event tracking, and product measurement frameworks.
• Being experienced with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrating strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and software engineering capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Google HEART framework for product analytics.
• Python programming skills.
• Experience in Cloud and SaaS‑based application development.
• Knowledge of API monitoring, observability, and operational analytics.
• Exposure to modern data engineering and analytics best practices.
