About the Role

We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a FHIR API Validation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that FHIR-based APIs and workflows comply with FHIR R4 and implementation guides. This role involves designing and executing interoperability test scenarios, performing end‑to‑end testing of prior authorization and utilization management workflows, and validating data quality, terminology bindings, and profile conformance. Collaboration with product, engineering, and business teams within a US healthcare payer environment is a key aspect of this role to ensure regulatory requirements are met and first‑pass success rates are improved.

Responsibilities

• Validate FHIR-based APIs and workflows for compliance with FHIR R4 and implementation guides.
• Design and execute interoperability test scenarios and test cases across payer–provider systems.
• Perform end‑to‑end testing of prior authorization and utilization management workflows.
• Validate data quality, terminology bindings, and profile conformance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams within a US healthcare payer environment.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and improve first‑pass success rates.
• Design and develop all QA artifacts.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of FHIR standard (R4), REST APIs, and healthcare interoperability (mandatory).
• Experience with Utilization Management / Prior Authorization workflows/EDI X12 278 (highly desirable).
• Familiarity with US healthcare payer systems (highly desirable).
• Expertise in API testing and tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, etc. (preferred).
