Job summary

Inspirisys is seeking to support Kotak DC IT operations with 24x7 on-site service. The scope covers site management, backup cycle administration, media handling, and restoration processes, along with daily operational tasks and coordination with DBA and System Admin teams.

The role includes monitoring critical server disk space, following escalation procedures for incidents, and ensuring timely data provisioning for vendors as required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Site Management adherence to Kotak Mahindra Bank data center policies and procedures.
• Backups & media management including scheduling, integrity checks, offsite transfers, and restoration procedures.
• Daily operations including SOL-EOD/BOD tasks for financial transaction servers and coordination with DBA & Sys Admin teams.
• Escalation handling and coordination with sister teams for smooth operations.

Job description

Scope of work / Deliverables for IT Ops Kotak DC

Service window will be 24x7 on site.

1. Site Management:

Ensuring complete adherence to the data center policies and procedures as lay down by KMBL.

2. Backups & Media Management:

• a) Manage the backup cycle for the various systems in the DC as per the policy laid by KMBL.
• b) Co-ordination with DBA & Sys Admin team for hash/unhash schedule script/crone to ensure backups completed successfully
• c) Ensure that the backup media is transferred & retrieve to/from the offsite center and is monitored on regular basis.
• d) Verify the backup integrity by restoring the sample files on a periodic basis.
• e) Keep record of all backups and all recycling status.
• f) Keep Backups & Restoration schedule and procedures up to date.
• g) Restorations as & when required by users / client
• h) Backup Policy configuration
• i) Call logging & Troubleshooting part at initial level when problem arises in both hardware & application level.

3. Daily Operations:

• a) Carry out the SOL-EOD/BOD activities for the financial transactions servers.
• b) Carry out day to-day activities assigned by KMBL.
• c) Monitoring disk space of Critical servers on daily basis, escalte this to concern team if below level
• d) Co-ordination with DBA & Sys admin team for patches applied on system
• e) Co-ordinate with other sister concerns team for smooth operation of their activities
• (E.g. Kotak Securities & Kotak Insurance)
• f) Housekeeping activities with Coordination of System & Windows Admin Team
• g) Follow Escalation matrix in each & every abnormal incidence including EOD BOD's
• h) Provide generated Special data (Monthly Statement / Credit card) for printing purpose to vendors allocated by client as & when such requirement arises.
• g) NSDL operations/SOD/EOD ops.
