Job summary

SkillYT is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Trainer to design and deliver training on network security, ethical hacking, SIEM tools, and compliance frameworks. The role focuses on building hands-on skills and strong security reasoning in learners.

You will oversee lab exercises with Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus and mentor learners aiming for certifications like CEH and CISSP. The position requires 3+ years in cybersecurity and strong teaching skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience; prior training/teaching experience preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with pentesting and SIEM tools.
• Strong grasp of security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent presentation and mentoring skills.
• Relevant certifications (CEH, CISSP, Security+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training on penetration testing, network security, and SIEM tools (Splunk/ELK/QRadar).
• Design lab exercises using Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus.
• Teach threat modeling, risk assessment, and incident response methodology.
• Develop assessments and hands-on capture-the-flag style exercises.
• Explain compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) with real-world context.
• Mentor learners preparing for industry certifications (CEH, CompTIA Security+, etc.).
