Cybersecurity Trainer / Information Security Technical Instructor

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Trainer to deliver hands-on and industry-oriented training in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, network security, cloud security, vulnerability assessment, and security operations. The trainer will mentor learners through practical labs, real-world security scenarios, and certification-oriented training programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and online training on cybersecurity concepts and tools
• Train learners on ethical hacking, network security, SOC operations, and vulnerability assessment
• Conduct practical lab sessions, penetration testing exercises, and security simulations
• Prepare training materials, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and assessments
• Guide students for cybersecurity certifications and career readiness
• Teach security fundamentals including firewalls, SIEM, IAM, endpoint security, and incident response
• Mentor learners on real-world security case studies and projects
• Conduct workshops, CTF activities, and cyber awareness sessions
• Monitor learner progress and provide technical mentoring
• Update curriculum based on latest cybersecurity threats and technologies
• Coordinate with academic and placement teams for learner development initiatives

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and security best practices
• Experience with ethical hacking and penetration testing tools
• Knowledge of network security, Linux security, and web application security
• Familiarity with SIEM, SOC operations, vulnerability assessment, and incident response
• Hands-on experience with Kali Linux and security tools
• Good presentation, communication, and mentoring abilities
• Ability to conduct practical labs and troubleshooting sessions

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cloud security and DevSecOps
• Knowledge of scripting using Python or Bash
• Exposure to digital forensics and malware analysis
• Experience in corporate security training or academic training
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / IT / Cybersecurity / Engineering or related field

Certifications Preferred

• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• CHFI / OSCP / CCNA Security (Added Advantage)
