Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru, India seeks a Cybersecurity Software Developer to design and validate secure automotive embedded software for next-generation ECUs. You will implement Secure Boot, Secure Diagnostics, HSM services, and secure communication, working with AUTOSAR, Infineon AURIX, and NXP MCUs.

You\'ll collaborate across engineering teams to ensure ASPICE-compliant processes and robust cryptographic protections against evolving threats in connected vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• 6+ years in Automotive Embedded Software Development with cybersecurity exposure.
• Strong expertise in Embedded C, AUTOSAR, MCAL, diagnostics, and automotive communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate automotive cybersecurity solutions including Secure Boot, Secure Diagnostics, Secure Flashing, HSM services, and Secure Communication (SecOC, MACsec).
• Design, implement, debug, and optimize Embedded C software on AUTOSAR-based platforms using Infineon AURIX and NXP microcontrollers.
• Configure and integrate AUTOSAR modules, MCAL drivers, Vector stack components, and cybersecurity services for production vehicle programs.
• Perform software verification, static analysis, root cause analysis, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity testing using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cybersecurity-compliant software aligned with ASPICE processes and automotive customer requirements.

YOUR ROLE

As a Cybersecurity Software Developer, you will design, develop, integrate, and validate cybersecurity features for next-generation automotive ECUs and vehicle computing platforms. You will work closely with global engineering teams to implement secure embedded software solutions that protect connected vehicles from emerging cyber threats while ensuring compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development with significant exposure to Cybersecurity.
• Strong expertise in Embedded C, AUTOSAR, MCAL, device drivers, CAN/CAN FD, UDS, and automotive communication protocols.
• Proven experience with Secure Boot, HSM integration, cryptographic services, secure communication mechanisms such as SecOC and/or MACsec.
• Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe, DaVinci Configurator, Trace32 Lauterbach, Infineon AURIX, and/or NXP microcontrollers.
• Understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) development processes.
• Exposure to ISO/SAE 21434 automotive cybersecurity standard is highly desirable.
• Experience in Ford and/or Stellantis vehicle programs is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of C++, Bazel build systems, and cybersecurity validation techniques is preferred.
