Aptiv in Bengaluru seeks a Functional Safety Software Developer – ADAS to design safety-critical embedded software for ADAS platforms. You will work on AUTOSAR-based components, ISO 26262 compliance, and automotive software processes, contributing to safer, smarter driving.

YOUR ROLE

As a Functional Safety Software Developer – ADAS, you will develop safety-critical software for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and next-generation vehicle platforms. You will work on AUTOSAR-based embedded software, Functional Safety implementation, and Automotive SPICE-compliant development processes while contributing to solutions that make driving safer and smarter.

• Develop Embedded C/C++ software for safety-critical ADAS applications.
• Configure and integrate AUTOSAR components using Vector DaVinci and related tools.
• Implement and verify ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
• Perform software development activities aligned with ASPICE SWE.1 through SWE.6.
• Configure and optimize Memory, OS, BSW, and MCAL modules.
• Debug software issues on target hardware platforms and support system integration activities.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality automotive software releases.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
• 6-10 years of automotive embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++.
• Experience in AUTOSAR architecture, configuration, and integration.
• Experience with Vector DaVinci configuration tools.
• Hands-on implementation experience in ISO 26262 Functional Safety projects.
• Experience executing ASPICE SWE.1 to SWE.6 activities.
• Experience working with NXP, Infineon, or TI microcontrollers.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Please Note This role is intended for hands-on software developers with AUTOSAR, Functional Safety, and Embedded C/C++ expertise. Profiles focused primarily on validation, testing, project management, or safety documentation without software development experience may not be a fit.

Highly Preferred

• EB Tresos configuration experience.
• MCAL development/configuration experience.
• Safety configuration implementation.
• DFA (Dependent Failure Analysis).
• FTA (Fault Tree Analysis).
• Experience in ADAS, Radar, Camera, Domain Controller, Autonomous Driving, or Active Safety projects.
