Job summary

Forbes Marshall in Coimbatore seeks a qualified engineer to join our field service team. You will perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our steam engineering and instrumentation solutions, ensuring optimal performance for customers.

Responsibilities include rapid technical support, building strong customer relationships, and driving aftermarket business such as AMCs and spare parts, with regular travel to client sites to deliver hands-on expertise and service

Qualifications

• B.E Mechanical engineering degree required.
• 4–10 years of experience in mechanical products.
• Strong knowledge of steam boilers and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of steam engineering products on-site.
• Provide prompt technical support to customers and resolve concerns.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to improve service levels.
• Drive aftermarket revenue including AMCs and spare parts.
• Frequent travel to customer sites for hands-on support.

Role Overview:

The member joining this position will work at an experienced and be part of a team of Coimbatore. The role requires an engineer with strong knowledge in steam engineering products and instrumentation systems to handle on-site activities.

Position with Organisation:

Location: Forbes Marshall, Coimbatore

Purpose of the Role:

This role is to ensure efficient commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Forbes Marshalls range of products, including steam engineering and control instrumentation solutions. By providing on-site technical expertise, the role focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering strong relationships, and generating after-market business such as Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and spare part sales. This role supports Forbes Marshall’s mission of improving process efficiency and energy conservation for its customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Commissioning and troubleshooting of products including Boilers, Pressure Reducing Stations, Temperature Control Valves, Condensate Recovery Systems, Steam Traps, Flow Meters, and Analytical Products.
• Providing prompt technical support and solutions to customer concerns to ensure optimal product performance.
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new customers, with a focus on improving service levels and customer retention.
• Driving after-market revenue by identifying and gener AMCs, spare parts, and service-related business.
• Frequent travel to customer sites for hands-on support.
