Job summary

Altraize is seeking a CSR Co-ordinator to support and coordinate sustainability initiatives across CSR, environment, and community programs in India. The role involves policy adherence, project pre-assessment, and liaison with NGOs to meet CSR objectives.

The candidate will prepare MOU documents, coordinate due diligence, and ensure timely project closures with proper reporting and compliance across the CSR portfolio.

Qualifications

• Masters in Social Work or equivalent required.
• Experience with CSR governance and policy development.
• Exposure to renewable energy or sustainability initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CSR projects and ensure compliance with policy and governance.
• Assess NGO partners and conduct due diligence for proposed projects.
• Prepare memorandums of understanding and project documentation for approvals.
• Track CSR spendings, funding tranches, and reporting to Finance and management.
• Engage with CSR employee committees and coordinate with CSR Team.
• Report progress and impact to company websites and stakeholder forums.

Job description

The position is responsible for supports and coordinates a company’s social, community, environmental, and sustainability initiatives.

• Ensuring compliance with statutory reqirements related to CSR activities as per company's CSR policy as CSR Co-ordinator
• Understanding CSR policy and CSR Project implementation plan to work inline with company's CSR portfolio requirements
• Understand Section 135(ii) of the Companies Act pertaining to governance of CSR activities in India with rules, knowledge on Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014 and its exclusions
• Adherence to company's Corporate Policies
• To work in finding CSR execution projects to meet the potential project of company under CSR policy objectives
• To Source for potential NGO who are capable of delivering the potential projects under CSR objectives in line with company's requirements
• To explore the potential projects and shortlist in coordination with CSR Team
• Pre assessment review of NGO's performance and deliverables - feedback on past activities
• To review & consider the CSR project recommendations from Company Employee committee
• To adhere to 3 stages of due diligence process - project feasability, Legal and Finance through checklist - available
• To discuss with CSR team on the proposed feasable CSR project, shortlist and work on to it
• To prepare the CSR presentation document for CSR committee approval with purpose
• Preparation of Memorandum of Understanding between company and NGO to work on with the project plan, initiation, Funding Tranches, and completion timelines with Documents submission in closing the project
• Close Co-ordination with CSR team members and update on the progress on CSR activities
• Accountability on CSR spendings on each project funding and following up the same

• Follow up & collection of CSR Documents from respective NGO's / executing agency and share with Finance for the records
• Periodic Follow up visits to site with NGO's on to CSR project progress and reporting the same to CSR team
• Completion of CSR project on time on to Financial Year spendings with necessacary documents and project closure reports
• To work on CSR impact Assessment team on high value spendings projects, maintain spending documents, visit progress reports, and reporting the same
• Conducting monthly meeting and presenting updates to CSR Team and company's Management
• To report CSR project on company's Corporate websites and company's Social network platforms for better visibility
• To work with company's Marketing team on to Display Boards at the CSR sponsored Project Sites
• Demonstrates uncompromising integrity and transparency in all aspects of CSR planning and execution Education and Experience Specify what level of education is needed (secondary school, technical school, university, master, PHD, etc). Define how many years’ relevant working experience is required and which type of experience.
• Master Graduate in Social Work or similar education
• Technical aptitude to understand civil constrution work
• Familiarity with renewable energy solutions such as solar and wind energy systems.
• Understanding of sustainability, environmental, and CSR-related initiatives.
• Proficiency in MS office (Word,Excel,Power Point & power BI)
• Understanding of CSR financial controls, audits, and compliance requirements
• Engaging with NGO partners through regular field visits and project reviews

• Ability to effectively transfer thoughts and express ideas verbally in individual or group situations
• High ability to learn new methods and technologies
• Fluent in English, Kannada additional language skills are an advantage.
• Present oneself clearly and articulately when speaking with or presenting to senior management
