Job description

  • We are seeking a dynamic and highly capable CSR professional with 5-10 years of experience in managing, implementing and scaling Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. The role demands exceptional speed of execution, strong process orientation, fast and accurate documentation skills, and the ability to work across new technological tools, and stakeholders. This is a high-ownership role suited for someone who works efficiently in fast-paced scenarios, demonstrates exceptional clarity in communication and consistently brings strong analytical judgment to deliver quality outputs.
  • This role requires a balanced combination of Program governance, strong documentation discipline, field engagement, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive CSR strategies that align with the company's approved CSR policy and thematic areas.
  • Support budgeting, documentation, and creation of presentations for senior management and CSR Committee.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, scalability, and technology adoption within CSR programs.
Governance, Compliance & Process Excellence
  • Develop and update SOPs, policies, partner guidelines, and internal workflows for CSR governance.
  • Ensure full statutory compliance under the Companies Act CSR provisions and CSR amendments.
  • Implement strong internal controls around data accuracy, approval processes, fund flow, and partner reporting.
Documentation
  • Maintain a centralized repository of all essential documents for audit readiness.
  • Develop templates for standard CSR documentation, reports, and partner submissions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of field visit notes, partner communications, and approvals.
Reporting
  • Consolidate and present data for impact stories, annual report, presentations, management meetings, and BRSR reporting.
  • Liaise with Compliance team for statutory CSR reporting and board-level documentation.
  • Prepare project fact sheets, case studies, and evidence-based impact narratives for Annual reporting.
Proposals Review and Agreement Signing
  • Conduct due diligence on NGOs / Implementation Partners for project suitability, credibility, and compliance.
  • Review CSR proposals and engage with NGOs/partners for refining program design and outcomes.
  • Draft, review, and coordinate with Legal team for agreement finalization and signing.
Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Create monthly/quarterly reporting templates in alignment with approved activities and KPIs.
  • Review and document monthly/quarterly progress reports submitted by partners.
  • Conduct field visits to project sites for monitoring, validation, and evaluation of on-ground activities.
  • Review and process grant requests, including validation of UCs, expense breakups, spending plans, and budget adherence.
  • Monitor projects effectively and document deviations, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Regularly review financial and compliance reports and provide corrective feedback to partners.
  • Coordinate internal audits and support the commissioning and execution of third-party impact assessment studies.
Others
  • Knowledge of new technical tools and software for data capture, monitoring, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ability to manage multi-state or pan-India CSR programs with diverse partners and stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Represent the company at CSR-related events, conferences, and forums to enhance visibility and partnerships.
  • Draft award applications, project nominations, and recognition submissions.
  • Stay updated with CSR trends, sector best practices, and regulatory changes.

Required Education Qualification: Master's Degree in Engineering / MBA / MA in CSR / Communications / Master's Degree in Ecology/ Biodiversity Conservation/ Wildlife Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Forestry, MSc Agriculture, MTech in Hydrology or related field

Experience Required: 5–10 years in CSR industry, with varied experience.

Skills required:

  • Strong process orientation with the ability to create and manage SOPs, templates, and governance mechanisms.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, with clarity, conciseness, and command over formal documentation.
  • Exceptional speed and precision in execution, ensuring timely review, documentation, reporting, and follow-ups.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to interpret program data, budgets, and field insights.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
  • Strong multi-project management capability, especially in fast-paced, high-volume CSR environments.
  • High ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for outcomes end‑to‑end.
  • Continuous learner, staying updated on evolving CSR trends, development-sector innovations, and regulatory changes.
  • Strong understanding of CSR law & compliance, including Section 135 of the Companies Act, CSR Amendments, Schedule VII, and statutory reporting requirements.
