Job summary

HypTechie is seeking a Head – Engineering to lead Software & QA teams focused on CRO initiatives. You will drive QA strategy, plan and execute comprehensive testing across browsers and platforms, and ensure tracking accuracy and performance of CRO activities.

You will collaborate with CRO strategists, developers and designers, guide test planning, and advocate testing best practices, while staying current with industry trends in CRO and QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven QA experience for web applications, CRO context preferred.
• Hands-on with Omnibug, GA4 Debugger and Chrome DevTools.
• Experience with A/B testing platforms (Optimizely, Target, VWO, Convert) and web analytics tools.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS.
• Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• QA CRO initiatives: test CRO experiments, validate tracking/analytics, ensure functional/visual/performance criteria.
• Develop test plans and test cases for CRO experiments; execute across browsers/devices.
• Collaborate with CRO strategists, developers and designers; participate in sprint rituals.
• Provide feedback on CRO strategies based on data; improve QA processes.
• Document test procedures, results and issue lifecycles; prepare QA reports.

• Quality Assurance of CRO Initiatives:
• Conduct thorough testing of CRO experiments, including A/B tests, multivariate tests, and personalization campaigns.
• Ensure all CRO implementations meet functional, visual, and performance criteria.
• Conduct exploratory testing, UI, and site performance tests
• Validate the accuracy of tracking and analytics implementation for CRO activities.
• Test Planning and Execution:
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for CRO experiments.
• Execute manual/automated testing across different browsers, browser stack, devices, and platforms.
• Identify, document, and report bugs, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with CRO strategists, CRO developers, and designers to understand the scope and requirements of each CRO initiative.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Optimization and Best Practices:
• Provide feedback on CRO strategies based on testing outcomes and data analysis.
• Suggest improvements to QA processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in CRO and QA.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, testing procedures, and test results.
• Prepare and present QA reports, highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations.
• Track and document the lifecycle of bugs and issues from discovery to resolution.

Qualifications

• Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in quality assurance, with a focus on testing web applications, preferably in a CRO context.
• Hands on experience with tools like Omnibug, GA4 Debugger and Chrome DevTools
• Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Target, VWO, Convert) and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and content management systems (CMS).
• A clear understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Exposure to agile software development methodologies
