Job summary

COLUMBIA Shipmanagement Ltd. is seeking a Crewing Commercial Officer to support budgeting and cost control for vessel crews. You will assist in preparing crewing budget proposals and monitor budgets across ships.

The role requires English proficiency, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with budgets, costs, and operational data. Experience in shipping/crewing is advantageous. Reporting to the Crewing Commercial Manager, you will participate in process improvement and ensure

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing crewing budget proposals.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling the crewing budgets of vessels.
• Monitor the cost of flight arrangements for seafarers.
• Ensure that the actual crew on board is in line with the approved budgeted crew line-up.
• Prepare monthly training fee details and ensure timely submission to the Accounts Department.
• Ensure that newbuilding supervision invoices are submitted to the Accounts Department on time.
• Ensure crew changes are carried out at designated key ports.
• Monitor and control the cost of uniforms supplied to vessels.
• Support special tasks and projects as assigned by the Crewing Commercial Manager.
• Maintain a good understanding of the Company's Management System and ensure its effective implementation.
• Contribute to the development of new procedures and improvement of existing procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Perform other duties related to the role as required.
