Job summary

Synergy Maritime is seeking a Finance/Crewing Cost Controller to manage, monitor, and control crewing-related operating expenses. The role focuses on accurate cost recording, budget monitoring, financial analysis, and forecasting to support Fleet Operations, Crewing, and Management in keeping crew costs within approved budgets.

The candidate will coordinate with PO numbers, close open POs and committed costs, and provide data-driven insights for owner queries and upcoming crew changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CA (Inter), CMA (Inter), ACCA, CPA, or an MBA in Finance are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all crewing expenses are accurately recorded in the system with valid PO numbers.
• Coordinate with invoice PICs and stakeholders to ensure timely closure of open POs and committed costs
• Maintain and share crew budget variance reports with Group Head for assigned vessels
• Support Group Head by providing data for owner queries.
• Assist concerned teams in handling both budgeted and non-budgeted expenses
• Support planning by providing projected costs for upcoming crew changes
• Prepare crewing budget proposals for assigned vessels/owners as per CBA guidelines.
