Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing a significant secured credit portfolio.
• In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, credit appraisal techniques, and risk management principles.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for secured lending in India.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the secured credit lifecycle, including origination, appraisal, sanctioning, and monitoring for retail and SME clients.
• Conduct financial analysis, risk assessment, and due diligence on secured loan applications (mortgages, loans against property).
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and legal requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies for credit risk mitigation and portfolio management.
• Lead and mentor a team of credit officers, providing training on credit assessment and underwriting.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and take corrective actions to minimize NPAs.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand business needs and provide suitable credit solutions.
• Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management.
• Handle customer queries and grievances related to secured credit products.
• Stay updated with market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes.
