Job summary

PBL Transport is seeking a Crane DC Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our service team. You will diagnose and repair electrical systems on cranes, trucks, and heavy equipment, conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring safe operation.

With 5 to 10 years of crane electrical experience, you will troubleshoot batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, sensors, and lighting across Indian fleets. The role offers challenging field work and opportunities to work with leading crane brands.

Qualifications

• Commercial Vehicle Service Technician: electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Automobile Electrician: batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, relays, sensors, and vehicle lighting systems.
• Experience with modern heavy-duty vehicles preferred (Volvo/Scania/MAN/BharatBenz).
• Experience with Indian commercial vehicles (Tata/Ashok Leyland/Eicher).
• Heavy Equipment Electrician: crane electrical maintenance experience 5–10 years.
• Experience with brands such as XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend and rectify vehicle electrical breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair battery, starter motor, and alternator systems.
• Inspect and repair wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and terminals.
• Identify and rectify short circuits, open circuits, and grounding faults.
• Troubleshoot and replace relays, fuses, switches, sensors, and circuit breakers.
• Repair and maintain lighting systems: headlights, tail lights, indicators.
• Troubleshoot horns, wipers, cabin lights, and other electrical accessories.
• Perform battery testing and charging system checks.
• Diagnose starting and cranking-related electrical problems.
• Read and understand vehicle wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.
• Use digital multimeters and diagnostic tools for fault finding.
• Carry out preventive electrical maintenance of fleet vehicles.
• Inspect systems and identify faults before breakdown.
• Coordinate with mechanics and workshop teams during breakdowns.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and workshop safety standards.

• Maintain proper records ofelectrical breakdowns, repairs, and replaced components.


• Ensure all electrical repairs are completed safely before releasing the vehicle for operation.


• Coordinate withmechanics and workshop teamsduring vehicle breakdown and maintenance activities.


• Follow properelectrical safety procedures and workshop safety standards.

Requirements

• Commercial Vehicle Service Technician:Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair of commercial vehicles.


• Automobile Electrician: Strong practical experience with batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, relays, sensors, and vehicle lighting systems.


• Volvo / Scania / MAN / BharatBenz TechnicianExperience with modern heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.


• Tata / Ashok Leyland / Eicher Auto Electrician: Experience in electrical troubleshooting of Indian commercial vehicles.


• Heavy Equipment ElectricianCandidates with vehicle-based electrical experience in mobile equipment can also be considered.


• Minimum5 to 10 yearsof experience in crane electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.


• Experience with brands such as XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano, or similar OEM cranes will be an added advantage.


• 3 to 6 LPA can be provided, depending on the candidate's current experience and salary.
