Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Attend and rectifyvehicle electrical breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repairbattery, starter motor, and alternator systems.
- Inspect and repairvehicle wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and terminals.
- Identify and rectifyshort circuits, open circuits, loose connections, and grounding faults.
- Troubleshoot and replacerelays, fuses, switches, sensors, and circuit breakers.
- Repair and maintainheadlights, tail lights, indicators, brake lights, reverse lights, and warning lights.
- Troubleshoothorns, wipers, cabin lights, and other vehicle electrical accessories.
- Performbattery testing, charging system checks, and battery terminal maintenance.
- Diagnosestarting and cranking-related electrical problems.
- Read and understandvehicle electrical wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.
- Usedigital multimeters and electrical diagnostic toolsfor fault finding.
- Carry outpreventive electrical maintenanceof fleet vehicles.
- Inspect vehicle electrical systems and identify potential faults before breakdown.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems oftrucks, tractor-trailers, tankers, and other heavy commercial vehicles.
- Carry outelectrical component replacement, wiring repair, and cable termination.
- Maintain proper records ofelectrical breakdowns, repairs, and replaced components.
- Ensure all electrical repairs are completed safely before releasing the vehicle for operation.
- Coordinate withmechanics and workshop teamsduring vehicle breakdown and maintenance activities.
- Follow properelectrical safety procedures and workshop safety standards.
Requirements
- Commercial Vehicle Service Technician:Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair of commercial vehicles.
- Automobile Electrician: Strong practical experience with batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, relays, sensors, and vehicle lighting systems.
- Volvo / Scania / MAN / BharatBenz TechnicianExperience with modern heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
- Tata / Ashok Leyland / Eicher Auto Electrician: Experience in electrical troubleshooting of Indian commercial vehicles.
- Heavy Equipment ElectricianCandidates with vehicle-based electrical experience in mobile equipment can also be considered.
- Minimum5 to 10 yearsof experience in crane electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with brands such as XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano, or similar OEM cranes will be an added advantage.
- 3 to 6 LPA can be provided, depending on the candidate's current experience and salary.
