Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a Hardware Engineer to plan, design, verify, and test electronic systems, including ASIC flows, power-domain implementations, and high-speed blocks. You will work across functions to meet performance requirements and drive robust design closure.

Strong expertise in Place & Route, STA timing, formal verification, and coding in Verilog/C++/Python is required, with a focus on low-power, high-speed ASIC development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in CS or ECE or related field with 2+ years of hardware engineering experience; or 1+ year with a Master’s; PhD also accepted.
• Extensive experience in Place & Route with FC or Innovus is mandatory.
• Complete ASIC flow with low power, performance and area optimization techniques.
• Experience with STA timing using Primetime and/or Tempus is required.
• Proficient in constraint generation and validation.
• Experience with multiple power domain implementations using UPF/CPF.
• Formal verification experience (Formality/Conformal).
• Proficiency in Perl/Tcl, Python, and C++.
• Strong problem solving and ASIC development/debugging skills.
• Experience with CPU micro-architecture and critical paths.
• Low power and high-speed design techniques knowledge.
• Clock Tree Implementation for high-speed designs.
• Exposure to constraint management tools and Verilog coding.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, verify and test electronic systems, including ASIC flows and packaging.
• Lead bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical interfaces, and DSP/FPGA components as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets and constraints.
• Develop and validate constraints, power-domain definitions and high-speed design elements.
• Debug and optimize ASIC blocks, timing, and power efficiency across multiple domains.
