The role focuses on establishing costing standards, monitoring variances, and providing cost insights to improve profitability. The ideal candidate is CMA/CA qualified with at least 5 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and cost control across manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• CMA/CA qualification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant costing experience.

Responsibilities

• Set costing standards in plant, ensure proper information flow and maintain costing records.
• Visualize cost control and reduction opportunities; perform alternate product analyses.
• Set standards and monitor inventory consumption.
• Report deviations to management and drive issue resolution.
• Prepare Inventory valuation reports.
• Monitor plant and machinery performance and conduct why-why analyses for future failures.
• Report product-wise costing on a monthly basis.
• Report on expected vs actual costs for new products.
• Check and resolve queries and ensure compliance with cost auditors.
• Set variance reporting standards with budgeted vs actual costing.
• Review labor and overhead rates and propose policy changes to improve numbers.
• Conduct cost analyses of raw materials and other supplies; create cost-benefit analyses.
• Analyze value-added vs non-value-added activities and suggest profitability improvements.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Set of Costing standard in plant, flow of information, record of costing related details.
2. 2) Visualize on cost control & Reduction, alternate product analysis.
3. 3) Set the standard & Monitoring of Inventory consumption
4. 4) Report the deviation to management & resolve the issue.
5. 5) Preparation of Inventory valuation report
6. 6) Monitor & why – why analysis of the plant & Machinery break down & future occurrence report.
7. 7) Report the product wise costing on monthly basis.
8. 8) Report on expected cost & actual cost on new products
9. 9) Check & resolve queries & Other compliances with cost auditor.
10. 10) Set the variance report standard, budgeted & actual costing.
11. 11) Review rates of labor and overhead and suggested policy changes to improve numbers
12. 12) Cost analyses of raw material and other supplies and create cost benefit analyses
13. 13) Analyses of value addition @non value addition activities
14. 14) Suggesting option to management chances of improvement in profitability.
