Job summary

ARC Document Solutions in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Cost Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for printing and signage projects by studying drawings, BOQs, specifications and customer requirements.

You will calculate material quantities, labour, production and installation costs, obtain vendor rates, and coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, Procurement and Installation teams to ensure timely and margin-conscious quotes.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of cost estimation, quotations and pricing.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for printing and signage projects.
• Study drawings, BOQs, specifications, measurements, and customer requirements.
• Calculate material quantities, labour costs, production costs, installation costs, and other project expenses.
• Understand different printing and signage materials and their applications.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Design, Production, Procurement, and Installation teams for accurate costing.
• Obtain material and vendor rates and maintain updated costing data.
• Ensure quotations are prepared and submitted within the required timeline.
• Review costing before submitting quotations to ensure accuracy and required margins.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Maintain costing sheets, rate charts, and project costing records.
• Support the Sales team in understanding costing, pricing, and project feasibility.
• Follow up on pending costing requirements and ensure timely completion.
• Handle multiple projects and prioritize work based on urgency.
