Job summary

ESP Engineered is seeking a seasoned professional with a minimum of 8 years of costing experience in the Engine system domain and 13-15 years of overall experience in the Production of Engineering products or Auto Components, preferably with a Tier1 or OEM. Responsibilities include evaluating engineering changes, supporting supplier negotiations, and identifying cost optimization opportunities. The role entails global cost comparison analysis and developing component standardization plans. Competitive compensation is offered.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Minimum 8 years of costing experience in Engine system domain

Overall Experience

• 13-15 years of experience in Production of Engineering products/ Auto Components with a Tier1 or OEM

Area of Responsibility

• Evaluate engineering changes to establish should cost for the change and identify the cost drivers for variable and supplier tooling for Fuel System, Exhaust system
• Provide purchasing with support during supplier negotiations through analysis of supplier’s price breakdown detail and “should cost” analysis
• Periodic Supplier visits to maintain & improve internal know-how of manufacturing processes & best practices
• Identify potential cost optimization opportunities and support company technical cost reduction activities
• Provide global component cost comparison analysis by working with Product Cost Engineers from other regions
• Develop the cost structure for component standardization plans
