Cost Engineer

Job summary

Vertiv Energy seeks a cost-focused engineer to drive product cost improvements and benchmark manufacturing options. The role requires strong data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and presentation skills to influence strategic cost decisions.

The incumbent will oversee cost tracking through NPDI and lifecycle stages, pursue efficiency projects, and coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Finance across regional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical degree.
• 4-5 years experience in Product Cost, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.
• Experience with new product development processes and activities is preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, project management.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations of insights and recommendations, supported by data analysis.
• Experience developing cross-functional and cross-regional relationships to achieve business objectives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI), Smartsheet, and other business applications.
• Excellent communications skills - written verbal.

Responsibilities
