Job summary

KPIT in Chennai is seeking a Cost Engineer (Mechanical) with 3-8 years of experience to drive should-costing, cost modeling, and cost analysis across fabrication, machining, casting, forging and plastics.

You will develop and maintain cost models, perform cost analysis to identify drivers, support supplier negotiations, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and procurement to drive cost reductions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Cost Engineer with strong expertise in should-costing and cost analysis across manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, casting, forging, and plastics. The role focuses on delivering accurate cost estimates and identifying cost optimization opportunities across the product lifecycle.
