Job description

The Opportunity

Raising capital is one of the most consequential things a growing company does — and it's rarely taught anywhere outside of actually doing it. This role puts you inside that process: researching who to talk to, shaping how we tell our story, and helping manage the relationships that could define our next stage of growth. This isn't a support role on the sidelines of a deal. The research you compile and the outreach you run directly shapes which investors we get in front of, and how compelling our pitch is once we're there.

What You’ll Own

Investor Research & Targeting

  • Build a curated list of VC funds, angel investors, and family offices whose stated focus fits fintech, wealthtech, or the RIA/wealth-management space.
  • Research each firm’s portfolio, cheque size, and stage focus to prioritize genuine-fit investors rather than a scattershot list.

Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Draft and manage outreach — cold email, LinkedIn, introduction requests to investor associates and partners.
  • Map warm-introduction paths through personal networks, accelerators, and portfolio founders, and track every conversation methodically so nothing goes cold.

Pitch & Narrative Development

  • Help refine the pitch deck, one-pager, and data-room narrative alongside the founder — translating traction and market opportunity into a story that lands.
  • Prepare FAQ and objection-handling notes for the questions investors always ask: market size, moat, unit economics, and how SEBI’s regulatory framework shapes the business.

Market & Competitive Benchmarking

  • Research comparable RIA and wealthtech funding rounds in India and abroad — valuations, round sizes, investor profiles — to inform positioning and expectations.
  • Track fintech and wealthtech investment trends and regulatory shifts likely to come up in investor conversations.

Process & Relationship Management

  • Maintain an investor tracker — contacted, in conversation, meeting held, next steps.
  • Support due-diligence prep: organizing data-room documents, coordinating reference calls, and compiling information investors request.
Who We’re Looking For
  • 0-2 years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, or a startup environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related domain.
  • Strong research and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate detailed information into a clear narrative.
  • Attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and genuine curiosity about how companies grow matter most.
