Job Description – COPYWRITER
Designation: Copywriter
Experience: 2–3 years
Location: PAN India
Work Mode: Remote (off-site)
Reporting to: BM
Role Summary
We’re looking for a Copywriter with 2–3 years of experience in a digital or integrated agency who can think for themselves and write like it. Someone with a real way with words, a sharp read on culture and the social landscape, and the range to write for very different brands and audiences.
This is a remote, pan-India role. You’ll work with Art Directors, Designers, Strategists and Client Servicing teams without sitting in the same room, so we need someone we can rely on: who takes a brief, owns it, and delivers thoughtful work on time with minimal hand-holding.
What We’re Really Looking For
- An original thinker. You can take a brief, find the insight and land on an idea of your own, not the first thing a tool suggests.
- A writer first. You write independently and well. AI can be part of your toolkit for research or speed, but your thinking, voice and craft carry the work.
- Culturally switched on. You know what’s trending, what people are talking about, how the internet is reacting, and when a brand should (or shouldn’t) join the conversation.
- Versatile across categories. You can move from a bank to a fashion label to a real-estate launch in the same day and sound right for each.
- Dependable, remotely. You communicate proactively, manage your own time, and people can count on you without chasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Brief, Research & Insight
- Interpret client briefs to understand brand objectives, target audiences and the communication problem to solve
- Research the brand, category, competitors and audience before writing
- Turn insights into clear content territories and angles
- Copywriting & Content Creation
- Write high-quality copy across formats, including: Social media posts, campaigns and carousels, Scripts for reels and videos, Paid ads (search, display, social), Emailers, banners and landing page copy
- Write original first drafts independently, and self-edit before sharing
- Keep tone, voice and messaging consistent for every brand you handle
- Balance creativity with clarity and performance objectives
- Ideas & Campaign Thinking
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, brand launches, pitches and always-on content
- Spot relevant cultural moments and trends, and suggest timely, on-brand ways to use them
- Build strong narratives and storytelling routes with the creative team
- Platform & Audience Adaptation
- Adapt writing style across social platforms, paid formats and industries (BFSI, fashion/lifestyle, FMCG, real estate, edtech and more)
- Understand how audiences consume content on each platform and write for that behaviour
- Stay culturally sensitive and brand-safe, especially across diverse regional audiences
- Deliver clean copy with high standards of grammar, clarity and impact
- Work closely with designers, strategists and client servicing over calls and online tools
- Join brainstorms, reviews and pitch discussions virtually, and come prepared with ideas
- Take feedback well and turn around revisions quickly
- Flag blockers early, keep stakeholders updated, and meet agreed timelines
