Job summary

Xpressbees is seeking a Control Tower Lead to own real-time visibility across first mile, carting, and last mile operations. You will drive escalations, monitor SLA adherence, and lead data-driven interventions with hubs, vendors, and the Fleet Management product team.

The role requires strong data skills, experience with telematics platforms, and a proven ability to manage vendor performance in a fast-paced logistics environment. On-site Pune location with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in logistics/supply chain operations, control tower, or fleet management roles (last-mile, e-commerce, or 3PL preferred).
• Strong hands-on data skills: advanced Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or BI tools is a strong plus.
• Experience with telematics/tracking platforms (Intugine, Locus, LogiNext, or similar) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to run structured vendor governance (scorecards, SLAs, escalations).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with daily operational accountability.
• Strong stakeholder management to drive action across hub teams, vendors, and product/tech without direct authority.

Role Summary

The Control Tower Lead will own real-time visibility and governance across FM (First Mile), Carting, and LM (Last Mile) vehicle operations driving SLA adherence, vehicle utilization, cost control, and vendor performance through a centralized monitoring and escalation function. This is a data-and-action role. the person will not just report numbers, but drive daily interventions with hubs, vendors, and techlproduct teams to close gaps in real time.

Key Responsibilities

Real-Time Tracking & SLA Governance

• Monitor Intugine (or equivalent GPS/telematics) data for FM dispatch, Hub Inbound, and LM Inbound adherence; run daily breach dashboards by hub and vendor
• Trigger real-time escalations for SLA breaches, delays, and no-shows; drive root-cause resolution with hub and vendor teams
• Own weekly/monthly SLA trend reporting to leadership, tracking breach % movement against targets

2. Vehicle Utilization & Cost Control

• Track daily utilization across FM, Carting, and LM fleets; nag vehicles operating below defined thresholds
• Identify and drive cross-utilization opportunities between FWCarting/LWB2B to reduce total vehicle count
• Monitor extra km and extra hours billed vs. Intugine-tracked actuals; run monthly reconciliation and raise vendor discrepancies
• Build and maintain forward-looking MIS for adhoc/heavy-vehicle deployment planning to reduce unplanned cost

3. Vendor Performance Management

• Maintain vendor scorecards (SLA, cost, failure rate) and drive ABC classification of active vendors
• Track vendor-wise failure/breakdown rates; recommend corrective action or exit for bottom-quartile vendors
• Run structured monthly vendor connect touchpoints and close the loop on action items

4. Process, SOP & Tooling

• Own and continuously refine SOPs for adhoc deployment, new vehicle requests, and operational failure escalation
• Act as the primary feedback channel between ground/hub teams and the Fleet Management product team; log, prioritize, and track closure of tool/data-visibility gaps
• Drive 100% tracking device coverage across the active fleet What

Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

• Daily SLA breach dashboard live and adopted by hub + vendor teams
• Documented, signed-off SOPs for adhoc deployment and new vehicle onboarding
• Measurable reduction in low-utilization vehicles and extra km/hours cost leakage
• 100% Intugine/tracking coverage across active leet
• Vendor ABC classification completed with an action plan for bottorn-tier vendors
