Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Contract & Procurement Lead for Solar PMC to manage contractual, procurement, and commercial governance on large-scale Solar PV and Integrated Battery Energy Storage System projects.

The role will oversee contract administration, change management, procurement compliance, and commercial risk monitoring, coordinating with Project Controls, Supply Chain, QS, EPC Contractors, Vendors, and Client teams.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in contract, commercial, procurement, or project controls.
• 4+ years on PMC, Owner's Engineer, or Client-side organization for utility-scale solar.
• Experience supporting 300 MW+ solar projects.
• Experience with EPC contracts, change orders, variations, claims management.
• Procurement compliance, MDCC, IRN, payment certifications, and contract administration.
• Preference for 500 MW+ solar parks, GW-scale projects, multi-cluster solar developments.

Responsibilities

• Administer EPC and package contracts through the project lifecycle.
• Track contractual obligations, notices, variations, claims, and change events.
• Review MDCC, IRN, inspection release records, and procurement compliance requirements.
• Monitor procurement-related contractual commitments and risks.
• Coordinate with SCM, Planning, QS, and Project Controls for commercial assessments.
• Support evaluation of Change Orders, Variation Orders, and contract amendments.
• Analyze claims, entitlement positions, and commercial exposures; prepare documentation and recommendations.
• Support payment certification reviews and prepare payment recommendations.
• Maintain commercial action registers, correspondence logs, and risk registers.
• Identify potential commercial risks and escalate significant issues to leadership.
• Support dispute resolution activities and contract close-out processes.
• Ensure traceability of contractual communications and decisions.

Job Description:

The Contract & Procurement Lead Solar PMC will manage contractual, procurement, and commercial governance activities for large-scale Solar PV and Integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role will be responsible for contract administration, change management, procurement compliance, commercial risk monitoring, claims support, and variation assessments while ensuring adherence to client contractual requirements and project commercial objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Controls, Supply Chain, Quantity Surveying, EPC Contractors, Vendors, and Client Teams to ensure commercial protection, contractual compliance, and effective management of procurement and delivery-related contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage EPC and package contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track contractual obligations, notices, correspondence, variations, claims, and change events.
• Review procurement documentation including MDCC, IRN, inspection release records, and procurement compliance requirements.
• Monitor procurement-related contractual commitments and identify commercial risks.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management (SCM), Planning, Quantity Surveying (QS), and Project Controls teams for commercial assessments.
• Support evaluation of Change Orders, Variation Orders, and contract amendments.
• Analyze claims, entitlement positions, contractual disputes, and commercial exposures.Prepare contractual documentation and commercial recommendations for client review and approval.
• Support payment certification reviews and prepare payment recommendations based on contractual provisions.
• Maintain commercial action registers, contractual correspondence logs, and risk registers.
• Identify potential commercial risks and elevate significant contractual issues to project leadership.
• Support forensic claim reviews, dispute resolution activities, and contract close-out processes.
• Ensure complete traceability and documentation of contractual communications and commercial decisions.
