Job summary

Lumen Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a Sr. Region Contract Administration Manager (RCAM) to own and execute contract administration activities with emphasis on phase 8 modifications and administration.

You will manage intake, validation, and closure of change orders, amendments, and related compliance in Procurement Gateway. The role supports bid reviews, onboarding, escalations, and renewal activities to keep contracts financially controlled and operationally aligned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 6–8 years of professional experience, or 4–6 years with a Master’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of engineering support systems and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of basic contract law and negotiation principles.
  • Ability to perform cost analysis on engineering/construction work orders.
  • Ability to train employees or contractors on contract processes, units or standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SOW/DOW language and review contract scope, pricing, and requirements.
  • Own intake, triage, and workflow for contract modification requests.
  • Manage the full change order lifecycle in Procurement Gateway.
  • Prepare contract amendments with approved templates and coordinate reviews.
  • Administer assembly unit governance and setup activities.
  • Maintain contract repository and monitor obligations, notices, and compliance.
  • Analyze unit usage and pricing trends to identify billing leakage and cost recovery.
  • Provide cross-functional guidance to Engineering, Construction, Accounting, Legal, and Suppliers.
  • Support vendor onboarding, onboarding documentation, and escalations.

Job description

The Sr. Region Contract Administration Manager (RCAM) supports Custom Networks by owning and executing contract administration activities with primary emphasis on Phase 8 Contract Modifications & Administration. The roleis responsible forintake, validation, preparation, tracking, and closure of change orders, contract amendments, assembly unit actions, and related contract compliance tasks in enterprise systems such as Procurement Gateway. The position also supports adjacent lifecycle phases including project bid review support, onboarding, escalations, and renewal support to helpmaintaincommerciallyaccurate, operationally aligned, and financially controlled contract execution. The role is designed to reduce backlog, improve cycle time and accuracy, and strengthen cost recovery through disciplined contract administration.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop DOW/SOW language and review contract-related scope, pricing, and supporting requirements for engineering and construction agreements;validateproject bid and RFP inputs for contractual accuracy before Strategic Sourcing processing.
  • Own intake, triage, and workflow management for contract modification requests arising from Custom Networks operations, ensuring requests arevalidated, routed, and progressed from initiation through execution.
  • Manage the full change order lifecycle, including creation, tracking, follow-up, and closure in Procurement Gateway and related systems.
  • Prepare contract amendments covering scope, pricing, and terms using approved templates and clause language, and coordinate Strategic Sourcing and Legal reviews whererequired.
  • Administer assembly unit governance by adding units to existing contracts, supporting creation of new units, and coordinating mnemonic mapping and related setup activities.
  • Maintain contract document repository and version control for MSAs, annexes, SOWs, amendments, and supporting attachments, while tracking contractual obligations, notice periods, COI and bond requirements, and other compliance records.
  • Analyze unit usage, cycle times, and pricing/application trends toidentifybilling leakage, missed billables, non-standard usage, and cost recovery opportunities.
  • Provide cross-functional analysis, direction, and guidance to Engineering, Construction, Accounting, Regulatory, Tax, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Legal, Operations, and suppliers on contract administration matters.
  • Support vendor onboarding and line-extension kickoff activities, including system setup needs, unit readiness, and onboarding documentation coordination.
  • Provide contract administration support during escalations, including payment disputes, formal performance actions, and contract-based interpretation issues in partnership with Vendor Management, the Business Unit, and Strategic Sourcing.
  • Contribute to renewal support, retainage release, and contract closeout activities, while developing scorecards, training collateral, process improvements, and reporting that improve consistency and throughput.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8 years of professional experience, or 4–6 years of related experience with aMaster’sdegree.
  • Working knowledge and experience with engineering support systems and contract administration processes.
  • Knowledge of basic contract law and contract negotiation principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform cost analysis on engineering and construction related work orders and projects.
  • Ability to prepare training collateral and train employees or contractors on contract administration processes, units, or standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering, plant construction, telecommunications, or relatedfield.
  • Knowledge of R.U.S. contract policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Lumen systems including SAP, Procurement Gateway, SAP S4, Ariba, WFMT, NDS,SiteTracker, or related support systems.
  • General understanding of utility accounting practices and financial controls relevant to contract administration and cost recovery.
  • Experience supporting network construction, line extension, engineering, OSP, ISP, EFI, COEI, DC Power, or similar telecom construction categories.
