Job summary

River in India seeks a seasoned Process Excellence professional to lead value-stream improvements by integrating Lean Six Sigma methodologies with digital tools. You will own end-to-end process audits across People, Process and Systems, and coordinate quarterly audit calendars with business stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering or related degree with 5–8 years in Automotive OEM, and possess Lean Practitioner/Green Belt or Six Sigma certifications, plus ISO/Automotive Internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years experience in Automotive OEM.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and commercial operations, support value streams, and Lean methodologies.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for spearheading initiatives to enhance value streams by integrating process excellence methodologies with digital technologies
2. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and eliminate non-value-added activities
3. Own the end-to-end process audit lifecycle, structuring and executing comprehensive process audits across three core pillars: People, Process, and Systems
4. Manage and communicate the quarterly process audit calendar, coordinating schedules seamlessly with business stakeholders
5. Coordinate closely with functional leads to present comprehensive audit findings, align on root causes, and secure formal sign-offs on corrective action plans
6. Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices, minimizing resistance and maximizing engagement
7. Ensure comprehensive documentation of processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to maintain consistency and compliance

Ideal Candidate

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline with 5 to 8 Years experience in an Automotive OEM.
2. Solid understanding of manufacturing and commercial operations, support value streams, and Lean methodologies
3. Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without formal authority
4. Certifications as a Lean Practitioner/Green Belt, Six Sigma, or ISO/Automotive Internal Auditor will be an added advantage
5. Deep understanding of DMAIC frameworks, waste elimination (Muda, Mura, Muri), cycle-time reduction, and root-cause analysis. (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
6. Ability to design, document, and deploy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure compliance and quality control
7. Experience working with audit governance frameworks, defined reporting timelines, and CAPA tracking registers
