Job summary

EC-Council, a global cyber security training leader, seeks a Content Writer for its Mumbai operations. You will develop strategic, technical and marketing content across websites, emails, brochures and campaigns, with a focus on SEO and audience engagement.

You will craft compelling blog posts, whitepapers and social media content while maintaining brand voice and ensuring accuracy, originality and plagiarism-free submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Content creation: Develop strategic, compelling, and research-driven content for various platforms, including websites, promotional emails, brochures, etc. Craft persuasive short and long form content for various lead generation and sales campaigns.
• SEO Optimization: Ensure all content is SEO-optimized, including the integration of relevant keywords and the implementation of essential SEO tags (e.g., title tags, meta descriptions, alt tags, anchor texts, etc.).
• Blog Writing: Research and write technical blogs, listicles, course roundups, and trend-focused articles covering emerging technologies, industry developments, and in-demand skills, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and SEO optimization.
• Social Media Content: Generate innovative content for social media and text advertisements to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
• Video Scriptwriting: Develop engaging scripts for promotional, informative, and social media videos, translating technical concepts and key brand messages into clear, compelling narratives.
• Editing and Proofreading: Edit and proofread all content to ensure clarity, adherence to briefs, and plagiarism-free submissions.
• Ideation: Contribute to content strategy development by brainstorming and identifying content gaps.
• US Language Neutralization: Apply US language neutralization to ensure content is adapted for a broad American audience.
• Audience Engagement: Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
• Brand Voice: Ensure all content adheres to the company's style guide while consistently reflecting the brand's unique voice across platforms and formats.
• Industry Research: Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics and stay updated on the latest trends and developments.

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Qualification: A bachelor’s degree (Journalism, English, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory)
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Research Skills: Strong research and analytical thinking abilities.
• SEO Knowledge: Proficient understanding of SEO principles and their application in content marketing.
• Multitasking Ability: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Creativity and Attention to Detail: A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
