Job summary

Orion in Kolkata, India, seeks a skilled content developer and graphic designer. You will write and edit content for the website, social media, newsletters, and donor communications, and design campaign assets.

You will turn programme updates into compelling stories, manage a content calendar, and collaborate with programme teams. A portfolio showing both writing and design is required; a degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communications or Design is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in content development and graphic design. Experience in the nonprofit, education, skilling, CSR or development sector is an advantage.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English. Bengali and/or Hindi language skills are preferred.
• Strong working ability in Canva; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign is an advantage.
• A portfolio showing both writing and design work is required. A degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Design or a related field is preferred.
• Organised, detail-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to take feedback and deliver quality work on time.
