Job summary

Learningmate Solutions is seeking a Content Designer to develop and revise digital instructional materials, from manuscripts to video content, using instructional design principles.

You will apply educational research and pedagogy, collaborate with the Content Producer Lead, ensure clean design with clear hierarchy, and support AI-enabled workflows to deliver high-quality content on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communication, or Design with related experience.
• At least 2 years of Curriculum Development, educational publishing, or instructional design experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise digital instructional materials, from manuscripts to videos.
• Review product features against guidelines for consistency in curriculum design.
• Ensure content has adequate white space and proper hierarchy for clarity.
• Collaborate with Content Producer Lead to plan and execute project workflows and schedules.
• Create design consistency across the product.
• Produce high-quality work to meet deadlines.
• Support discovery and integration of AI tools to enhance workflows.
• Multi-task to meet new project needs.

Summary Description

The Content Designer applies subject matter knowledge and instructional design principles to develop and revise digital instructional materials and supporting materials. The materials created range from writing manuscripts to creating videos.

Essential Job Functions

• Understand and apply educational research, pedagogy, subject matter expertise, and instructional design principles to create instructional videos.
• Review product features against guidelines for consistency in curriculum design.
• Make sure activity design has adequate white space and hierarchy to clearly display content.
• Collaborate with Content Producer Lead to plan and execute on project workflow and schedules.
• Work with Content Producer Lead to create consistency in design of the product.
• Produce high quality work to schedule.
• Support the discovery and integration of AI tools and technologies to enhance our creative processes, drive efficiency and optimize workflows
• Ability to multi-task and meet the needs of new projects that arise.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communication, or Design and 2 years of Curriculum Development, educational publishing, or instructional design experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills

• Classroom teaching experience either online or in-person and knowledge of online learning activities and the education market preferred.
• Excellent presentation skills, and desire to learn new tools for producing content.
• Skilled in PowerPoint and specifically animations and templates.
• Ability to support learning through content design.
