Note: Candidates must currently reside in Uttarakhand. Applications from outside the state will not be considered. This is a short-term contractual role, with the contract ending in March 2027.

About the Team:

The Content & Communications team is responsible for creating high-impact, timely, and culturally relevant digital content for political campaigns and regional audiences. The team works closely with campaign and communication managers to track emerging trends, understand public sentiment, and develop content that effectively communicates key narratives.

The Content Creator will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to social media content, political narratives, campaigns, and real-time communication efforts focused on Uttarakhand.

What Would This Role Entail?

• Create social media copies, captions, reel/video scripts, campaign messaging, memes, and topical content.
• Track breaking news, political developments, viral trends, memes, and trending audio/music to identify real-time content opportunities.
• Develop political narratives around regional issues, government initiatives, campaigns, and current developments.
• Create culturally relevant content suited to Uttarakhand's local audience and public sentiment.
• Handle basic mobile video editing and graphics for quick-response content, including reels, trending audio, text, and simple creatives.
• Independently identify what is trending, what content can be created around it, and how it can be executed quickly.

Necessary Qualifications/Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in content writing, social media, digital communications, or related roles.
• Prior experience with a political consultancy, political campaign, or political communications team is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Uttarakhand's culture, politics, regional issues, and digital audience.
• Good understanding of meme marketing, viral formats, trending music/audio, Reels and Shorts.
• Hands-on knowledge of basic mobile editing and graphic creation tools.
• Must be proactive, fast, adaptable, and capable of working independently.

Language Requirements

• Hindi & English: Strong written and spoken proficiency.
• Garhwali & Kumaoni: Working proficiency preferred, along with an understanding of local expressions and cultural references.
