Job summary

Emergent is hiring a creator to be the face of the brand on short-form video content. The role is based in Bengaluru, with content targeting US and European audiences.

You will appear on camera, contribute ideas from concept through edit, and collaborate with a global team to shape compelling video experiences. The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking to an international audience, able to self-shoot and self-direct, and eager to learn the product to demonstrate on camera.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience being the face of video content for a brand or own channel.
• Native or near-native English with North American or European accent.
• Ability to perform for US/European audiences without translation and knowledge of that internet culture.
• Legally able to work in India.
• Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Appear on camera as the recurring face across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Bring your own ideas for videos and write/rework scripts.
• Shoot on a regular weekly cadence, including self-shot content.
• Turn around timely videos, often within 48 hours of a trend.
• Host formats with others: interviews with users, founders, guests.
• Work with editors on pacing, hooks, and cuts.
• Show up on camera in brand replies, posts, and live sessions.
• Review performance data and adjust approach based on results.

The Role:

About 70% of our users have never coded before. They are small business owners, solo founders, and operators who had an idea and no engineer to build it with. We are hiring a creator to be the face of Emergent on video. You will appear on camera in most of our short-form video, and you will also help decide what gets made. This is a creator role, not a presenter role, so you will be involved from the idea stage through to the edit.

Most of our audience is in the US and Europe. You will be based in Bangalore and working with our team here, but the content is made for those markets. You should be comfortable on camera for an international audience and familiar with how creators there talk, joke, and hold attention. This is a full-time role reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing.

What You'll Do:

• Appear on camera as the recurring face of Emergent across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Bring your own ideas for videos rather than waiting to be handed scripts
• Write or rework scripts so they sound like you when spoken out loud
• Shoot on a regular weekly cadence, including self-shot content when the situation calls for it
• Turn around timely videos quickly, often within 48 hours of a trend or news moment
• Host formats that involve other people: interviews with users, founders, and guests
• Work with the editors on pacing, hooks, and cuts
• Show up on camera in our brand replies, community posts, and live sessions where it makes sense
• Review performance data and adjust the approach based on what is landing

What We're Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience being the face of video content, either for a brand or your own channel
• A body of work we can watch, with the numbers behind it
• Native or near-native English, with a North American or European accent
• Ability to perform for US and European audiences without translation, and knowledge of that internet culture from the inside
• Legally able to work in India
• Strong instincts for what makes someone stop scrolling in the first few seconds
• Ability to self-shoot and self-direct when needed
• Based in Bangalore, or willing to relocate
• Comfort learning the product well enough to demo it and answer questions on camera
