Responsibilities

• Perform thorough eye tests including visual acuity, pupil response, and retina checks.
• Identify conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy.
• Recommend medications, glasses or contacts as needed.
• Assist or perform cataract, LASIK, and retinal surgeries.
• Advise patients on diagnosis, care and preventive eye health.
• Coordinate with optometrists, nurses and specialists for comprehensive care.

• Conducting Eye Examinations: Performing thorough eye tests, including visual acuity checks, pupil response assessments, and examining the retina, eye muscles, and optic nerve.
• Diagnosing Eye Disorders: Identifying various eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
• Prescribing Treatments: Recommending and prescribing medications, corrective lenses (glasses or contacts), or other therapies based on individual patient needs.
• Performing Surgical Procedures: Executing surgical interventions for various eye conditions, such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and retinal surgeries.
• Patient Education: Educating patients about their eye condition, treatment options, preventive care, and the importance of regular eye exams.
