Job summary

ABATE AS in India seeks an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea to diagnose and manage corneal and external eye diseases, including keratoconus, infections and dystrophies, and to perform advanced corneal surgeries such as transplantation and pterygium excision with grafting.

You will provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care, collaborate with general ophthalmologists and subspecialists, and promptly handle emergencies like corneal perforations and ocular trauma to ensure

• Diagnose and manage corneal and external eye diseases, ocular surface disorders, keratoconus, corneal infections, and corneal dystrophies.
• Perform advanced corneal surgeries, including corneal transplantation, pterygium excision with grafting, and refractive procedures.
• Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to ensure optimal surgical outcomes and maintain the highest standards of patient safety.
• Collaborate with general ophthalmologists and other sub specialists to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary patient management.
• Effectively manage emergency cases such as corneal perforations, chemical injuries, and ocular trauma.
