Job summary

CLOZOM in India is seeking a skilled Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our dedicated team and provide comprehensive eye care for patients with diverse conditions.

You will conduct daily OPD consultations, perform Phaco and SICS cataract surgeries independently, manage emergencies, participate in outreach camps, and train junior doctors and OT staff, while ensuring meticulous documentation and patient safety.

Qualifications

• MS/DNB Ophthalmology or equivalent qualification required.
• Independent cataract surgery experience is essential.
• Experience in managing complex cataract and emergency cases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily OPD consultations.
• Perform Phacoemulsification cataract surgeries independently.
• Perform SICS cataract surgeries when needed.
• Manage emergency ophthalmic cases.
• Participate in outreach camps and community eye screening.
• Train and support junior doctors and OT staff.

What You'll Be Doing:

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• MS/DNB Ophthalmology (or equivalent recognized qualification)
• Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration
• Independent experience in Phacoemulsification (Phaco) Cataract Surgery
• Proficiency in managing cataract complications and emergency ophthalmic cases
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience with 500–1,000+ independent Phaco surgeries preferred
