Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient ophthalmic consultations, including diagnosis and management.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans, including medical management, surgical intervention and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure adherence to established clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
• Contribute to the growth of the Ophthalmology Department through clinical excellence, improved patient access and expansion of appropriate ophthalmic services.
• Comply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, ethical standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and complication reviews, quality improvement initiatives and accreditation-related activities.
• Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to junior doctors and other departmental team members, as appropriate.
• Participate in academic discussions, clinical meetings, case reviews and continuing medical education programmes.
