Qualification: MBBS, MS / DNB in Ophthalmology Fellowship in Cataract & Refractive Surgery

Position Overview: Evaluate patients with cataract and other anterior-segment disorders, perform safe cataract surgery, and provide complete pre-operative and post-operative care to restore and protect vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, visual assessments and diagnostic investigations for cataract and related eye conditions.
• Plan individualised surgical treatment, including IOL selection and management of co-existing eye conditions.
• Perform cataract surgery, including phacoemulsification and IOL implantation, under approved anaesthesia protocols.
• Provide pre-operative counselling, informed consent, surgical-risk explanation and post-operative instructions.
• Manage post-operative follow-up, complications, medications and referrals where required.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records.
• Work with optometrists, nurses, anaesthesia and operation-theatre teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, infection-control compliance and surgical-outcome monitoring.
