Job summary

BCforward in Gurugram is seeking a senior software tester with 6+ years of IT testing experience, specializing in functional and mainframe testing. You will work on complex domain areas like credit cards/finance, using tools such as JCL, DB2, CICS, and PL-SQL, while leveraging Selenium and Karate for automation.

The role requires strong data handling, API testing (REST/SOAP), and solid documentation with MS Office and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of testing experience in IT industry, preferably in testing (functional, mainframe).
• Hands-on mainframe skills: JCL, DB2, CICS; PL-SQL, FTP; knowledge of a mainframe scheduler.
• RDBMS and No-SQL platforms knowledge: Big Data, Couchbase, MongoDB; Java, Python, JSON.
• Public/private Cloud exposure.
• Test automation with Selenium or Karate and related tooling.
• Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP); SOAPUI/POSTMAN; Splunk.
• Strong documentation skills; MS Office, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, Remove Duplicates); BI reporting.
• Experience with test plans, data, execution; defect lifecycle understanding.
• Familiarity with banking/credit card environments; ISTQB certification is a plus.

Skills:

Functional Testing; Mainframe Testing, TestNG, Credit card/Finance domain, Selenium, Karate or others

Experiences:

Minimum 6 years of testing experience in IT industry preferably in Testing(Functional Testing; Mainframe Testing, TestNG, Credit card/Finance domain).

Required Technical skills:

1. Hands on technical skills on core mainframe technologies for 3 years. Primary Skills: JCL, DB2, CICS expert in PL-SQL, FTP, knowledge on any Mainframe Scheduler.
2. Knowledge on RDBMS and No-SQL platforms like Big data, Couchbase, Mongo DB 3. Languages Java, PYTHON and JSON structure.
3. Public private Cloud
4. Test automation suite and scripting experience using frameworks like Selenium, Karate or others.
5. Good to have experience working in an integrated platform and dataflow with mix of technologies. Knowledge on: APIs, Rest, SOAP, Use of tools: SOAPUI, POSTMAN, Splunk.
6. Must be good in documentation and acquainted with MS office tools specially Excel basic Operations such as V-lookups, Pivot tables, Remove Duplicates etc. Good to have knowledge on BI tools reporting.
7. Test management experience with hands on experience on deliverables of testing projects- Test plan, test approach, Test data, Test execution etc , including automation for test data, test bed set up and execution.
8. Understanding on Customer journeys and defects lifecycle.
9. Understand the data set up need and identify the SORs as per the workflow.
10. Familiarity & experience with banking test environment and platforms is preferred.
11. Certification like ISTQB is a plus.

Project Practices:

1. Required complete knowledge of SDLC process.
2. Good to have knowledge in Agile tools, ceremonies.
3. Must be having functional knowledge of either credit card or banking or brokerage.
