Job summary

Pawana Hospital, Pune is seeking a physician to take daily rounds and manage care plans for ward, ICU/CCU/SICU/HDU patients, including assessment and documentation. Job description

Taking detailed daily round and 24hrs responsibility of each patient under your primary care in wards/special rooms/deluxe rooms / isolation that for assessment, reassessment and define and document the care plan. Care plan includes- Diagnosis, proposed care plan & multisystem management (curative, preventive, primitive the rehabilitate aspect)

Taking detailed daily round of each ICU/CCU/SICU/HDU that is critical care areas patient under your primary care for assessment, reassessment and define and document the care plan. Care plan includes- Diagnosis, proposed care plan & multisystemic management (curative, preventive, promotive the rehabilitate aspect)

To communicate with Consultant/super-consultant for further management in case of joint admission /referral/primary care.

Daily counseling with relatives jointly with treating Consultant/intensivist. With consent taking and daily patient progress/ prognosis intimation (documentation in register).

Taking note of daily critical value radiology reports/lab reports/clinical hemo dynamics of patients to facilitate major medical management decision and decide deviation if any from proposed line of management.

Giving physician fitness for all planned /elective surgical cases as and when required in the hospital from all other specialties. Also plan and decide fitness or correct physiology before surgery in cases of emergency procedures.

Conducting OPD services as per decided schedule approved by the management and maintains compliance with OPD medical records. Also to decide and provide medical fitness to employees and other patients as and when required after full medical checkup and evaluation.

Managing smooth and coordinated planned discharges as per hospital policy and checking the discharge summary and discharge advices at times of discharge.

Contributing for Quality indicators data collection and analysis. Necessary Corrective and preventive actions including HIC protocols should be suggested.

Help in process clinical protocol implementation with Director, Med admin, Admin and Nursing department.

Training and continuous medical education for Doctors and nurses, other supportive staff/Mock drills training

Conduction of CPR Committee monthly.

EWS monitoring and evaluation

Death Audit presentation monthly.

ICU grand round

Coordination with all super Consultants, Intensivist for patient care.

Coordination with Physiotherapist, Dietician for patient care.

Plan shifting of patients from icu to wards/ rooms coordinating with each shift Intensivist and treating Consultant.

Compliance for Medical record completion and drug prescription as decided by phramacotherepautic committee.

Reporting /Meeting with management monthly for review of Medicine Department.

Continued Academic seminars, Presentation, PG programs if any. Its coordination and teaching plans. Will work as faculty whenever required for academic programs as per privilege.

Conducting yearly 3 Medical Audits in the department.

Be a part of Disaster management / emergency team as and when required in times of Disaster/Emergency

Be part of research team/member of ethics committee for ongoing research activities if any.

Update Critical care area hospital manuals. .
