Job summary

Max Healthcare is seeking dedicated ICU healthcare staff to collaborate with physicians and nursing teams in critical care. The role involves direct patient interaction, routine care, and maintaining detailed medical records for ICU patients.

Candidates will follow senior clinicians, participate in CMEs, and assist in emergencies while ensuring resource optimization and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interact effectively with patients, attendants and service users
• Demonstrate application of technical and professional knowledge
• Examine all ICU patients and follow up cases
• Provide medical care as required for patients in critical care units
• Prepare all medical records of patients in ward
• Be available for emergency calls
• Follow HOD instructions for administering medications and preparing patients for procedures
• Supervise nursing, para-medical and non-medical staff for high standards
• Assist and learn procedures
• Participate in CMEs and Journal clubs presentations
• Participate in nursing staff/technician teaching programs
• Assist HOD/Senior Consultants in emergency cases
• Coordinate infrastructure, maintenance, consumables and equipment procurement
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources by self and subordinates
• Be well groomed, punctual and adhere to company policies and practices

ROLES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To effectively interact with patients, attendants and service users.

• To provide medical care as required by the patients admitted in critical care units.
• To prepare all medical records of the patient being maintained in the ward.
• To be available for emergency calls.
• To carry out instructions of the HOD in administering the medication and preparing patients for various procedures.
• To supervise all nursing / para-medical & non-medical staff for maintaining high standards.
• To assist and learn procedures.
• To actively participate in presentations of CMEs and Journal clubs.
• To participate actively in the teaching program for nursing staff and technicians.
• To assist the HOD / Senior Consultants in all emergency cases.
• To co-ordinate on matters relating to Provision of infrastructure and maintenance support, selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
• To ensure optimum utilization of resources by himself and subordinates.
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
