Job summary

VIKRAN Engineering Ltd. in Uttar Pradesh is seeking a seasoned Solar EPC Project Manager to lead ground-mounted and rooftop projects from mobilization to commissioning.

You will drive scope, budget, schedule and quality while coordinating with engineering, procurement and site teams to ensure smooth execution. The role requires handling civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works, managing site teams and sub-contractors, and enforcing HSE protocols across sites.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years of experience in EPC/project execution, with at least 5 years in solar industry.
• Exposure to both ground-mounted and rooftop projects.
• Knowledge of regulatory norms, DISCOM coordination and statutory approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of solar projects (ground-mounted) from mobilization to commissioning.
• Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, quality and timelines.
• Develop detailed project schedules, monitor progress and mitigate risks proactively.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and design teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Oversee site activities including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
• Lead and manage site execution teams, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Allocate resources effectively across projects.
• Act as the single point of contact for clients, consultants and internal stakeholders during execution.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Implement and enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols at all project sites.
• Ensure statutory, regulatory and contractual compliances are met.
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
• Approve contractor bills, variation claims and ensure timely invoicing & certifications.
• Provide periodic MIS/reports on project status to management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of solar project execution (civil, structural, electrical).
• Understanding of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
