Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE) invites an experienced Electrical Engineer (Transmission Line) for a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. You will supervise transmission line construction, oversee testing and commissioning, and ensure safety and quality across all activities.

The role requires 8–12 years in transmission line projects, strong knowledge of EHV/HV lines, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in transmission line projects.
• Strong knowledge of EHV/HV transmission lines, tower erection, conductor stringing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transmission line construction and execution, including towers, conductors, insulators, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with civil, survey and construction teams for tower foundations and erection activities.
• Review drawings, layouts, route profiles, and technical specifications for transmission lines.
• Monitor tower erection, stringing, sagging, tensioning, and conductor installation activities.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of transmission line systems; review contractor performance and billing docs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Transmission Line) to support the execution of a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for supervising transmission line construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction and execution of transmission line projects, including towers, conductors, insulators, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with civil, survey, and construction teams for tower foundation and erection activities.
• Review transmission line drawings, layouts, route profiles, and technical specifications.
• Monitor tower erection, stringing, sagging, tensioning, and conductor installation activities.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of transmission line systems.
• Review contractor performance, progress reports, and resource deployment.
• Verify project measurements, quantities, and contractor billing-related documentation.
• Identify construction risks, delays, and technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and permit-to-work requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.
• Strong experience in transmission line construction and project execution.
• Knowledge of EHV/HV transmission lines, tower erection, conductor stringing, and commissioning activities.
• Understanding of transmission line drawings, route surveys, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in transmission line projects for industrial, power, mining, steel, or infrastructure sectors.
• Exposure to EPC, PMC, or Owner's Engineer environments.
• Experience in managing contractors and large-scale site execution activities.
• Knowledge of substation interfaces and power evacuation systems will be an added advantage.
